    Brockhampton Court - History

The original house was a rectory, dating back to 1759, in the reign of George II. In the late 19th century it was bought by Ebenezer D.Jordan of Boston, Massachesetts who completely rebuilt it and presented it to his daughter on her marriage to Colonel A.W.Foster.

In 1947 the house became an hotel and a popular venue for balls, weddings and other social occasions.

More recently, Dr and Mrs CJ. Allen bought Brockhampton Court in 1996 and embarked on an extensive programme of improvements to convert it into the first-class care home it is today.
