Brockhampton Court has been
awarded 3 Stars by the Commission for Social Care and Inspection. This
is the biggest initiative in improving palliative and end of life care
in nursing homes in this country.
Altogether there are 49 bedrooms, all with
en-suite facilities, a television and a telephone with a personal
number. Many of the rooms also have wet rooms. There is wheelchair
access throughout the building along with lifts to all floors.
There is a choice of single and double rooms -
all with extensive views over the gardens, the fountain and the
surrounding countryside. In the main house several reception rooms give
residents a wide variety of places to relax and socialise if they wish.
Throughout the home there are tea and coffee stations where
residents and visitors can help themselves to drinks and cakes. Smoking
is not permitted in the building, but there is a specially fitted
Sheppard's Hut outside for anyone wishing to smoke.
