As we look forward to 2018, we look back at an exciting and eventful December here at Brockhampton Court.
The Festive season was kicked off, with triumphful music performed by the Hereford branch of the Salvation Army, who led our first carol service.
On the 4th of December Mordiford Primary School come to visit us, they worked up an appetite by singing us some Christmas hymns and then enjoyed some mince pies with our residents.
On Wednesday the 6th, we held our annual Christmas Fayre, selling all sorts of arts and crafts and also decorations made by our very own residents. We also held a raffle and raised a magnificent £135 for our Charity.
On the 8th, we had the pleasure of Fownhope Primary School, for another sing-along, some dancing and yes more mince pies, tis the season!!
We also had a very important milestone to mark. Judy, our Deputy Matron, celebrated being part of the Brock family for a staggering 20 years!! Well done Judy and here’s to another 20!!
As the big day gets closer, the preparations were in full swing. Our residents were creating Christmas cards, folding napkins, preparing sprouts and helping decorate the tree. It was Christmas Jumper day on Friday 15th and Dr Allen and Su Heal were the winners of best “worst” jumpers.
We held a church service and one of our residents grandson gave us a beautiful rendition of some carols.
Christmas finally arrived with friends, and family joining our residents for a lovely Turkey dinner with all the trimmings. Everyone had a lovely time, and thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
From everyone here at Brockhampton Court, we wish you a very happy and prosporous New Year and eagerly look forward to 2018.
