All meals are prepared to the highest standard in our own kitchen and all dietary needs are catered for. The ingredients we use are locally sourced and the food is freshly prepared every day.
Residents can choose to eat in either our elegant panelled dining room if they are physically able to do so, or their own rooms. Family and guests are always welcome to visit and join us for meals on any day of their choosing (at a small charge). We request 24 hours notice to enable the kitchen staff to cater for adequate numbers.
Tables can be booked on the Gallery in the main house or the Conservatory for birthday meals and other celebrations, and indeed at any other time. Residents often have a glass of sherry before lunch, and also enjoy a glass of wine with Sunday lunch.
Our residents enjoy three meals a day, plus snacks as and when required. Sally, our Head Chef’s, homemade cakes served in the afternoon are always extremely popular – amongst the residents and staff. Residents are actively encouraged to call in at the kitchen to discuss their preferences, and of course to make special requests for their favourite meals and recipes.
Breakfast includes a range of cereals, fresh fruit and juices, yogurts and toast, followed by cooked items such as porridge, scrambled eggs, sausage and bacon, as requested.
Lunch is the main meal of the day where hot dishes including pork loin with apple stuffing, beef stew with dumplings and steak and ale pie are popular favourites, all served with a selection of fresh vegetables. Lighter lunches including sandwiches and salads are also available, all residents have to do is ask. The main course is always followed by a home-baked dessert.
Supper is a little lighter with residents opting for homemade quiche, salads, filled jacket potatoes and scrambled eggs on toast, followed by homemade desserts.
At Brockhampton Court we know that serving great food is important to health and happiness of our residents, this is why we listen to our residents paying particular attention to food they like and food they don’t. Our menus are varied and change regularly, with particular focus on seasonal and locally-sourced food.
