Postcards of Kindness
Brockhampton Court is launching this week the postcards of kindness campaign to trigger memories in our residents.
A care home in Burton–on–Trent started a post cards of kindness campaign last year to connect residents who lived within a care home setting with the wider community.
Postcards have always been a huge part of the Great British summer holiday, and we at Brockhampton Court thought it would be lovely if people could send our residents postcards to stimulate conversation, inspire memories and provide entertainment.
We would like staff, family and friends to support our new campaign by sending our residents a postcard from the holidays you go on. Social inclusion with the wider community is a vital aspect of care.
Social isolation and exclusion from the local and worldwide society can result in a negative effect on both the quality of life of the person and even on whole families or communities. Loneliness can be both a cause and a result of social exclusion. One can lead to the other and can result in a cycle of depression and withdrawal. We at Brockhampton Court want to ensure none of our residents feels loneliness or exclusion.

Thank you in advance for supporting our new and excising Campaign as postcards provide residents with a connection to the outside world and let them know that people are thinking about them
