Respite Care

How can our respite care help you?

Dignified care

We understand that each resident is different. Where some may require more attentive care, others may only require occasional care. Whatever level of care you require, we do our utmost to ensure all residents are cared for in a kind and dignified way and live as independently as they want to, with as much help as they require.

Modern technologies

We have a team of dedicated nurses, some of whom have an advanced diploma in palliative care and system control. This means that we have the knowledge and skillset to support all residents, and their loved ones, who require this level of care. This software improves the level of care that our residents receive, ensuring efficiency whilst maintaining our stance as a leading care provider in Hereford.

Passionate about care

We proudly have a large team of staff – from our carers to our nurses – which means we can provide our residents with the level of attention, support, and kindness they need. As a care team backed by nurses, we work together to provide the best possible level of service and all our team undergo extensive training and an induction process.

What are the reasons you may need respite care?

Our respite care in Hereford is available to help you at any time of your life when you require the support of an external residence.

Care relief

If your current carer is going on holiday, or needs just a short break, we can provide you with the care you need in a home from home environment.

In cases of illness

In the event your carer has fallen ill or is recovering from surgery and is unable to provide you with help and support for a short period of time.

Convalescent care

If you do not currently need a carer, we can provide you with respite care post any long-term hospital stays or surgeries and help you get back on your feet.

To provide social support

It can be lonely at home alone, even if you have a carer. Socialising is important for us mentally – a short-stay can provide you with much needed social interaction.

To have a change of scenery

We like our short-stay residents to see staying with us like being at a hotel. You’ll receive the care you need, plus meals and refreshments and activities each day to enjoy.

Pre-move to Brockhampton

Our respite care can even be used for you to experience Brockhampton Court for a short time before you make the decision to live with us on a long-term basis.

Frequently asked questions about Brockhampton Court

When visiting a resident, are visitors allowed to have meals on site?

Visitors are welcome to have meals with the residents in their rooms.

For palliative care residents, arrangements can be made to have a meal in the library. This should be arranged with as much notice as possible as we may need to carry out a detailed risk assessment, book the library, make arrangements with the kitchen and care workers and arrange for the room to be fogged after the visit. We do this to ensure the safety of all residents, visitors and staff.

Each meal will cost £12.00 per person. This will be added to the residents’ ‘extras’ bill.
