July / August Update
A lot has been happening here at Brock over the last couple of months.
Flowering arranging is becoming extremely popular on a Wednesday afternoon with Mandy. The displays look lovely around the home, so a massive thank you to everyone who attends the activity.
We thoroughly enjoyed another visit from Cats for Comfort, they certainly made themselves at home and even the girls had time to give them cuddle.
Matron celebrated 20 years service at Brock, with a lovely surprise party whose guests included, friends family and staff from over the years. Matron was presented with her gifts of a “This is Your Life” book full of photos messages and memories and a Snake Acer which has been planted in our gardens as a tribute to her amazing achievement.
Several of our residents, along with Mandy, Rosie, Gail and Ceda, recently enjoyed a day out on the canal with The Willow Trust. The canal boat went up Sharpness Canal, and everyone took turns in piloting the boat. Particularly Mrs Jarratt who became the first person at the age of 100 years old to steer the boat! A throughly enjoyable day was had by all.
Coming up in August we have several events planned including our Annual cake sale in aid of McMillan, which is always very competitive and delicious.
