Brockhampton Court is registered with the Quality Care Commission (CQC) – the body that ensures care homes in England provide people with safe, effective, compassionate and high-quality care – as a care home with nursing.
Put simply this means that unlike a residential care home which only provides personal care, Brockhampton Court also provides nursing care throughout the day and night. For the past 16 years Matron – Joanne Parker – a registered nurse with management qualifications, has run our home. In addition to Matron, there is a nurse on duty 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with additional medical support provided by the Doctors at Fownhope surgery located close by.
We are registered to provide nursing care to anyone over the age of 18 who has a physical disability. Each new resident is assessed prior to admission to ascertain that the care they need is within our capabilities and expertise. This assessment can take place at home or at Brockhampton Court. If the assessment takes place at Brockhampton it is a wonderful opportunity for the new resident to see the house and grounds, and of course to meet the staff and residents.
Each resident has a care plan that records all of their nursing care; this document is shared with the resident and also records their personal preferences.
Residents at Brockhampton Court receive the very highest levels of nursing care set within a beautiful house, delivered by a qualified, caring and dedicated team.
