Meals & Nutrition

We like to provide our residents with a wide variety of food options for all mealtimes, with menus available to preview each morning. If you would prefer something else that day, or you would like a meal tweaked to cater to your tastes, this can all be accommodated for. Additionally, if you have any specific dietary requirements, these are all catered for.

Flexible dining options

Our residents can choose where they would like to dine each day, with a number of options available. We have an elegant, panelled dining room, the conservatory, our gallery or in the privacy and comfort of your own room. During the warmer months of the year, we can offer meals in our beautiful gardens. During mealtimes, you will also have the opportunity to dine with our proprietor, Christopher, who loves to eat with our residents, get to know them better and help them integrate into our close-knit family.

Freshly produced each day

We’re proud to cook and prepare everything fresh on site, with limited processed foods. We have close relationships with a number of local suppliers and wherever possible, choose to use local produce. Our menus are developed based on seasonality of what’s available, and through the feedback we receive from our residents about the meals they enjoy.

Meals at Brockhampton

We offer a wide variety of meals for residents. Breakfasts vary, with a choice of cereals, fruit, porridge, toast, pastries, and cooked breakfast. Lunches are fairly traditional, with favourites like cottage pie, casserole and curries. On Sundays and Wednesdays, we serve roast lunches and Fridays always include fish, such as fish pie or battered fish and lunch is always served with a delicious pudding.

At suppertime we serve lighter meals, such as soup, omelettes, etc and again, always with a pudding to finish. There is the option for cheese and biscuits, or ice cream and fresh fruit as an alternative for dessert. We will always endeavour to provide an alternative meal for you if required and can tailor your meals specifically to your personal needs.

Many of our residents have been with us, and each other, for some time and as a unit, they work with us to ensure that the services we provide meet their needs and expectations.

Open door policy

During your stay with us, family members and friends are welcome to visit you whenever they like. We have an open-door policy meaning residents can come and go as they please, leaving the premises for days out, etc. We also welcome dogs to visit residents and we have lovely locations around the site to enjoy dog walks and fresh air. Unfortunately, we do not permit pets to stay at Brockhampton with our residents.
